To my fans,
Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I grew up in a middle class family in Staten Island, New York. My dad was a NYC fireman and my mom a nurse. I spent a lot of time in Brooklyn at my grandma’s house. Like all families, we’ve had our share of heartache. All four of my grandparents passed away. I was in Europe on tour with the group "Westlife" when my dad's dad passed. I had to make a tough decision whether to perform or fly back home. I didn't want to disappoint my fans and I knew the group depended on me. I decided to stay, so I dedicated that performance to my grandfather. The many hardships my family has endured have only brought us closer together. I feel the loved ones I’ve lost are my angels, always watching over me and guiding me to my destiny.
Though most people see me now and think "I HAVE IT ALL," it wasn’t always the case. When I was younger, I was teased in school for dancing. It wasn't popular for boys to dance, plus I had to deal with my own insecurities with being chubby and having no confidence in myself. Dance and music were my outlet. When things went wrong I turned to performing. It has gotten me through everything in my life. I constantly fought to break the barriers. I was not the best dancer. I was not the best singer. I was not the best looking. For a long time I was the chubby kid with the braces and glasses that no one believed in.
I will never forget one of my first auditions where I was told I was fat, had braces and to come back next year." I never felt down on myself, though. I used the pain as fuel to my fire and every second, every minute, every day, every year, I became a better version of me. Now dance has become such a phenomenon! I teach students all over the nation and many of them are boys! Part of my dream is to inspire others to fight and live their dream.
I’m a fighter and in order to achieve your dreams you need to believe in yourself before anyone else will.
I got my start with a boyband called WOW. We toured the US, Canada and Europe. Since going solo, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many different producers, managers and agents, including the legendary music manager Johnny Wright (a childhood dream of mine). I collaborated with music video director Eif Rivera, shooting three music videos, one of which was featured on RyanSeacrest.com and PerezHilton.com. I auditioned for “The X FACTOR” and “The NEXT”. After making it through to the next level on both shows, I chose to be on "The NEXT" where Joe Jonas was my mentor on the show. It was a terrific experience!
I was inspired to take a group of my students, the “Struck Boyz” to audition for "America’s Got Talent”. The boys made it all the way to the semi-finals at Radio City Music Hall. I also led my competition dance team to three consecutive undefeated national championships. Five of my students made the Knicks City Kids, and one of my students made the Brooklyn Nets Kids.
I’ve been featured in many online magazines including examiner.com, popwrapped.com, Twist, M, Popstar!, Oceanup.com and many others. I did a six-week tour in China, performed in PopNation’s Summer Concert Tour, recorded more original music and shot more music videos which you can find right here on my website. Soon I will be performing in Atlantic City. I have big dreams and can’t wait to live them.
So here I am, ready to continue my journey with you, my fans. Without you, none of my big dreams will happen. I can’t wait to see you from the stage!
Yours with all my heart,
